# Organizations and Sharing

When working in a team, you need to share research results, consult opinions, or collaborate on cases. An organization in Praktik is a shared space for your team.

## What is an organization

An organization is a group of users who can work in shared projects. It corresponds to a law firm, in-house legal team, or court department.

## Collaboration in an organization project

Members of an organization project can work with the same uploaded documents, collaborate on tabular analyses, and share chats.

## Sharing a chat

##### 1. Turn on sharing

Open a chat and click the person icon in the top-right corner. The chat will be shared with project members.

##### 2. Manage sharing

Click the icon again to copy a link to the chat or stop sharing it.

Members with access to the project can open a shared chat and view its history, references, and uploaded documents. Members with editor access can add follow-up questions, while read-only members cannot change its content.

## Who sees what - permissions overview

| Content type | Private | Shared in the organization |
|---|---|---|
| **Conversation in a private folder** | Only you | Only you (unless you share it manually) |
| **Conversation in a shared folder** | No one | All organization members |
| **Manually shared conversation** | Only you | All organization members |

## Practical example

A legal team creates an organization project for a client. Project members work with the same project documents and tabular analyses. When a lawyer wants to make a specific research or analysis chat available to others, they turn on sharing. Other project members can then see the questions, answers, references, and uploaded documents in one place.

## Security and privacy

**Data storage:** All chats and documents are stored on servers in the EU. They are not used to train public AI models.
