Accessing relevant legal information often seems inefficient or difficult. Lawyers, tax advisers, and managers encounter a multitude of laws and regulations, complex interpretations, and inconsistent sources every day. Legal research therefore often requires a significant amount of time; according to US data, lawyers spend 15–20% of their working time on research, and this estimate appears relevant to CEE as well.

As a result, clients—the recipients of legal services—increasingly choose not to consult lawyers and instead “research” the topic themselves using ChatGPT, at a time convenient to them. Moreover, a survey by the Slovak Bar Association found that 53% of attorneys and trainee attorneys also use so-called “general-purpose” AI solutions in their work.

However, according to the recent study by Schwarcz et al. (2025), AI-Powered Lawyering: AI Reasoning Models, Retrieval Augmented Generation, and the Future of Legal Practice, general-purpose generative AI models such as ChatGPT 4 often “hallucinate”—inventing legal sources that do not actually exist (hallucinations occurred in 58–82% of answers to legal questions). At the same time, few users realize that general-purpose generative AI systems such as ChatGPT often draw information from outdated sources, such as old articles. This leads to inaccurate information whose veracity is difficult to verify.

How does Praktik.AI respond to this problem?

Praktik.AI is the first Slovak AI-powered tool for analyzing legal texts built on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology. It eliminates unreliable answers and delivers accurate legal information directly from official sources.

We founded Praktik.AI because we believe that assessing legal questions can be faster, more accurate, and more user-friendly. Our goal is to simplify access to reliable legal information for lawyers, tax advisers, accountants, and managers in Slovakia.
