Computer is a workspace where Praktik can do more than provide an answer. It can work with files, carry out a multi-step assignment, and return a finished output for you to review.
You describe the result you need and provide the source files through the Praktik Agent. Computer determines how to approach the task, uses the tools available in its workspace, and can create task-specific scripts when necessary. You do not need to choose a tool or know how to program.
The idea behind Computer
Most software supports a predefined set of actions. That works well for recurring workflows, but not every assignment fits an existing feature.
Computer is intended for the long tail of practical work: tasks that are specific to one document, one matter, or one required output. Instead of explaining how you could complete the work manually, Computer can perform the steps and produce the resulting files.
Computer does not replace your professional judgment. You review the result and decide how it should be used.
Where Computer can be used
Compare two documents
Computer can compare two PDF documents, identify substantive textual changes, and prepare a focused summary without requiring you to read both versions page by page.

Create and modify Word documents
Computer can:
- create a custom Word document from your instructions,
- create a new document based on an existing Word template,
- apply or standardize styles and formatting,
- add comments to a document or extract existing comments into a separate output,
- add tracked changes or extract existing tracked changes for review.
Fill in PDF forms
Provide the PDF and the information to enter. Computer can complete the form and return the filled-in PDF for review.
Check PDF redactions
Computer can inspect a redacted PDF and check whether the intended information was properly removed rather than only visually covered.
Add comments to PDFs
Computer can add comments at specified places in a PDF—for example, to mark missing information, explain a change, or prepare the document for review.
Make other PDF changes
Computer can also anonymize information, merge or split PDFs, rearrange or remove pages, and add stamps, labels, or page numbers—and much more depending on the required output.
Work with Excel
Computer can clean and reorganize a workbook or combine information from several spreadsheets into one consistent output.
Create presentations
Computer can create a presentation from documents, notes, or spreadsheet data and follow a supplied presentation template.
Apply the same change across many files
Computer can perform repeatable work across a set of files—for example, anonymize multiple documents, rename and classify files, standardize formatting, or convert a folder into consistent output formats.
Complete other one-off file tasks
If the assignment has a clearly defined output but does not fit an existing feature, Computer can create a task-specific process to complete it.
The best instruction describes the desired result. You can also provide a reference file, template, naming convention, or formatting rules that the output should follow.
How it works
- Describe the assignment — Tell the Praktik Agent what result you need.
- Provide the files — Attach the source documents and, where useful, an example or template.
- Computer performs the work — It processes the files and creates the tools or scripts needed for the assignment.
- Review the output — Inspect the resulting files and ask for changes if the result needs refinement.
Security and isolation
Computer runs assignments in isolated virtual machines. Each environment is started from a prebuilt OCI image containing the tools needed to perform the work.
The virtual machine has no internet access. Input data can enter the environment only through the Praktik Agent, which acts as the controlled channel between your assignment and the isolated workspace.
The virtual machine’s storage is encrypted. After the work is complete, the files are deleted from the isolated workspace and are not retained in that environment.
This design allows Computer to work only with the files provided for the assignment, without access to the internet or external services.
