Overview

The Praktik add-in for Microsoft Word brings legal research, document analysis, and access to the business register into the environment where you prepare submissions and contracts. You do not need to switch windows or manually transfer document context.

Writing assistance

Chat can access the current document, legislation, court decisions, and the business register. You can ask it to fill data into a template, verify a clause, check completeness, or suggest wording.

An answer or generated text remains in chat until you copy or insert it yourself. When the assistant edits the document directly through chat, it turns on Track Changes in Word before making the edit; that edit appears as a revision you can accept or reject in Word. Manual copying and pasting follows Word’s own Track Changes setting.

Business register

Search for a company by name or company ID, verify current data, and use it while preparing a document. Before inserting anything, check the name, identifiers, and relevance to the specific document.

Translation

Translation runs in a separate add-in tool. Choose a language and mode, review suggested terminology mappings, and then inspect a translation preview. Nothing is written to the document until you select Apply all.

You can choose normal translation or a two-column bilingual document. The Use Track Changes option applies when the preview is written to the document; turn it on when you want to review the translation as revisions. It is not a general setting for every add-in answer or edit.

References to legislation and case law

Praktik helps find citations to laws and court decisions in a document. For each source, you can open its context or navigate to the full text and verify it.

Document review

Check groups configured in the Praktik web application are also available in Word. Choose a group and the party you represent, then evaluate the document against those rules. The result includes reasoning and references to relevant text; some findings may have a suggested edit.

Contract-review suggestions do not turn on Track Changes automatically. If you need applied suggestions to appear as revisions in Word, turn on Track Changes in Word before applying them.
