Interface overview
Everything you need when working with a specific law:
1. Legislation chat Open a chat tied to a specific law and a selected version. The chat also uses a working date, so you can ask about the law as it applied at a defined point in time. It does not silently assume that the selected text is the law currently in force.
2. Full-version comparison Compare the complete text of a law with an earlier version, not only the provision you are currently reading. Comparison marks added, removed, and changed lines so you can review the whole amendment clearly.
3. Paragraph and section comparison Compare an individual paragraph or section with its previous versions and follow exactly how its wording developed over time.
4. Version history Open the history of a law or of an individual paragraph or section. From History, open previous versions directly and inspect the wording that applied at that time.
5. Multilingual EU texts For EU legislation, consult the available language versions and compare the wording across languages where the official source provides them.
6. Copy an exact reference Copy a precise link to a law, paragraph, or section together with its formal legal reference for use in a memo, document, or pleading.
7. Court decisions linked to provisions Open court decisions that cite a law or a specific provision directly from the legislation view. This connects the text of the provision with the case law that interprets it.
8. Explanatory reports Where an official source provides an explanatory report, open it alongside the relevant legislation. For Slovak materials, this can include explanatory reports from the National Council of the Slovak Republic.
9. Amendment history See the amendments and the version that was applicable at the time relevant to a court decision or another legal question.

Open a reference to view the cited passage and continue to the underlying source. A preview, sidebar, internal viewer, or external official source may be used depending on the source type and what is available for that source; the exact presentation can therefore vary.

Legislation is updated daily so that new and amended Slovak, Czech, and EU materials can be incorporated promptly.
