Deep research

Praktik AI's Deep research agent for extensive legal research across court decisions.

Updated View as Markdown

Data availability: Deep research currently works with processed Slovak court decisions from 2020–2026. We are continuously adding earlier periods from the more than 4.5 million Slovak court decisions available to us.

Deep research is designed for legal questions where finding a single decision or a quick answer in legislation is not enough. It is useful when you need to understand broader decision-making practice: how courts decide a certain type of dispute, how their approach changes over time, or where courts differ.

Instead of manually reviewing a large number of decisions, the agent finds relevant cases, reads them, and prepares a structured output with links to sources. The result serves as a basis for further legal work — for example, when preparing a legal opinion, litigation strategy, or internal analysis.

When deep research is useful

Deep research is particularly useful when a question depends on broader decision-making practice:

  • you want to find out how a particular judge or court decides a certain type of dispute,
  • you need to compare decision-making practice across regions or courts,
  • you are looking for developments in case law over time,
  • you want to find exceptions to an established line of decisions,
  • you are analyzing successful and unsuccessful arguments,
  • you need to determine the standard of proof courts require in practice.

The agent can process in a short time what would take a legal team days or weeks: it finds relevant decisions, reads them, evaluates patterns in decision-making practice, and prepares an analysis. You can focus on asking the right questions and reviewing the output.

How it works

The Deep research agent works in several steps:

  1. Breaks the question down into a research problem — it determines which decisions, time period, courts, or legal topics are relevant.
  2. Finds decisions — it searches the available court decision databases and selects relevant results.
  3. Reads and evaluates the decisions it finds — it does not merely search for keywords, but analyzes legal conclusions, arguments, and context.
  4. Identifies patterns and deviations — it identifies established practice, exceptions, differences between courts, or changes over time.
  5. Prepares a legal analysis — the output includes a summary, conclusions, and links to sources so that the result can be verified.

How to use deep research

You can start Deep research directly in the chat:

  1. Select Deep research mode in the chat.
  2. Make your research question as specific as possible — for example, include the topic, time period, court, region, or type of dispute.
  3. If the agent needs more context, it will ask you a follow-up question.
  4. Once the question has been clarified, it will begin the research and process relevant court decisions.
  5. The result is one or more documents containing legal analysis and references to specific court decisions.

Deep research reviews hundreds to thousands of court decisions, so the analysis can take anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes.

The output is intended as a working document. We recommend reviewing the references used and verifying the key conclusions before using them in a legal opinion, filing, or case strategy.
